DELANCO, NJ.- Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw reported that following an investigation on Thursday, a 24-year-old Delanco, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and charged with multiple child pornography offenses in connection with blackmailing young girls he met online into sending him nude images of themselves.
Charges Filed
Bryce Berger, 24, of Delanco, has been formally charged with first-degree Production of Child Pornography; second-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Child Pornography; second-degree Distribution of Child Pornography; second-degree Impairing/Dedauching the Morals of a Child; third-degree Possession of Child Pornography; third-degree Obscenity to a Minor; and third-degree Sexual Extortion.
Berger Jailed On Charges
Berger was arrested on Thursday, September 19, 2024, during the execution of a court-authorized search warrant at his residence. Berger was transported to the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly, New Jersey, pending future court proceedings in Burlington County Superior Court. The Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion with the court to have Berger detained pending trial.
During the search, Detectives seized multiple electronic devices and will undergo a forensic analysis by investigators.
The charges stem from an investigation that began after the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office received information regarding Berger’s online activities. During the investigation, Detectives determined that Berger used an online app to request and receive nude photos from underage girls, then threatened to post those nude images if they failed to send him additional photos. Detectives further uncovered that Berger sent sexually explicit images to victims, as well as images of child sexual abuse material to another person.
Detectives were able to identify multiple victims ranging in age from approximately twelve to seventeen years old.
At the time of his arrest, Berger was employed by the Medford Township Public Schools as a computer technician, had no contact with any children, and was not around students in an unsupervised setting. Authorities at this point do not believe any of the victims were students at the school, but the investigation is continuing.
