D.C. Metropolitan Police Searching For Suspect In Friday Night’s Fatal Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- Detectives of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department are continuing the search for the suspect who fatally gunned down a 30-year-old man in Northeast Washington late Friday night.
According to Police Officials, on Friday, September 20, 2024, just minutes after 11:00 p.m., members of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting on the 4500 Block of Quarles Street in Northeast Washington.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found evidence of a shooting crime scene but were unable to locate a victim. Within minutes, responding Police Officers were notified that a man had arrived at a local D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Service Station suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Victim Dies At Hospital
The man, later identified as James Gripper, 30, of Bladensburg, Maryland, was transported to an area hospital where, despite life-saving efforts, Mr. Gripper sadly succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
