TOMS RIVER, NJ.- Today, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer reported that on Friday, September 20, 2024, Spencer Caudle, 36, of Prairieville, Louisiana, appeared in Ocean County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Kimarie Rahill to seven years in New Jersey State Prison for his previously entered guilty plea to Sexual Assault.
On April 2, 2024, Caudle appeared before Judge Rahill and pleaded guilty to Sexual Assault in connection with an incident that occurred in Toms River, New Jersey, on May 27, 2023. In addition to Friday’s sentence, Caudle will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law registration requirements, and he will be on parole supervision for life. Judge Rahill also barred Caudle from having any contact with the victim, who was 14 years old at the time of the assault.
The guilty plea and sentence stem from an investigation that began when Detectives of the Ocean County Special Victims Unit and the Toms River Township Police Department uncovered that on May 27, 2023, Caudle traveled from Louisiana to the Toms River, New Jersey area and had sexual contact with a 14-year-old child.
Caudle Met Child On Whisper Messenger
Caudle had been chatting with the child through the Whisper messenger application. During further investigation, Detectives learned that Caudle planned on returning to Toms River to have sexual contact with the child again.

On June 16, 2023, Caudle flew from New Orleans, Louisiana, to Newark Liberty International Airport, where after debarking the plane, Caudle was taken into custody by Detectives of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the Port Authority Police Department.
Following his arrest, Caudle was transported to Ocean County, where he was formally charged and remanded to the Ocean County Jail, where he has remained since his initial arrest.
