Thursday, September 26, 2024, 7:45 A.M. ET. 1 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

CAMDEN, NJ.- On Friday, September 20, 2024, Steven R. Kristiansen, 54, of Byram Township, New Jersey, appeared in U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Stephanos Bibas to 146 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release for his role in a methamphetamine trafficking organization.

According to U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger, Kristiansen had previously appeared before Judge Bibas and pleaded guilty to a five-count information charging him with Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine; Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon; and Distribution and Possession of Methamphetamine.

According To Charging Documents

According to documents filed with the court, in January 2022, federal law enforcement agents determined that Kristiansen was a member of a drug trafficking organization that was responsible for the distribution of methamphetamine. Over four days, from January 14, 2022, to January 18, 2022, Kristiansen sold over 60 grams of methamphetamine to an undercover Police Officer.

Following the undercover purchases on January 25, 2022, federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies executed a court-authorized search warrant on Kristiansen’s Byram Township home and car. During the search, investigators recovered over 50 grams of methamphetamine and ammunition.

U.S. Attorney Sellinger commended the investigative efforts of the Special Agents of the Department of Homeland Security Investigations Newark for their investigation, which led to Kristiansen’s arrest, conviction, and Friday’s sentence.
