Lodi Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting A Child In The Past

LODI, NJ.- Following an investigation, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, a 33-year-old Lodi, New Jersey man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a child under the age of thirteen.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, the Lodi Police Department contacted Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child that occurred in the past.
Investigation Uncovers Alleged Sex Crimes
Following a swift-moving investigation by Detectives of the Bergen County Special Victims Unit and the Lodi Police Department, and after interviewing witnesses, including the victim, Detectives determined that Junior Reyes-Tejada, 33, of Lodi, New Jersey, sexually assaulted a child in the past, who was under the age of thirteen at the time of the assault.
   Accordingly, on Wednesday, Reyes-Tejada was taken into custody at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Paramus, New Jersey, and formally charged with first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; second-degree Sexual Assault; and second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Reyes-Tejada was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
