Paterson Man Killed & Another Man Injured In Wednesday Night Collision

PATERSON, NJ.- Detectives of the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paterson Police Department are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding last night’s motor vehicle crash that tragically claimed the life of an 18-year-old man and left another 18-year-old man hospitalized.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, just shortly before 8:00 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash near the intersection of Madison and 9th Avenues in the City of Paterson.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers learned that Angelvl Javier-Reynos, 18, of Paterson, New Jersey, and Brailian Dominguez, 18, also from Paterson, New Jersey, were both riding motor scooters when they collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Mr. Javier-Reynos succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Mr. Dominguez was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Driver Of Jeep Remained At The Scene

     The driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee had valid driving credentials and, remained at the crash scene, and was uninjured in the crash. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
