D.C. Detectives Apprehend Suspect In Sunday’s Stabbing Investigation

WASHINGTON, DC.- D.C. Metropolitan Police Detectives quickly apprehend a suspect wanted in connection with the stabbing that occurred yesterday afternoon in Northeast Washington D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Sunday, October 6, 2024, just minutes before 5:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a stabbing in the 13th and H Street in Northeast Washington, D.C.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man suffering from a stab wound. The man was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening stab wound.
During a swift-moving investigation, Detectives quickly determined that the man was stabbed in the 1500 Block of Benning Road in the Northeast section of Washington, D.C.
Detectives Identify Suspect
Detectives were quickly able to identify Jeremiah Hall, 38, with no known address, as the suspect and the individual responsible for stabbing the man. Detectives and Patrol unit were able to locate Hall shortly before 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Hall was taken into custody and formally charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
