ALBANY, NY.- On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Stephen Brisee, also known as Sage Brisee, 30, of Albany, New York, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and pleaded guilty before a U.S. District Court Judge to a six-count indictment charging Brisee with the Distribution, Possession, and Receiving Child Pornography.
According to U.S. Attorney Carla B. Freedman, during Tuesday’s plea allocution, Brisee admitted to receiving and distributing video files of adults subjecting girls between the ages of six months and 1o years to sexual penetration.
A court-authorized search of Brisee’s phone by investigators uncovered a collection of digital images of nude and sexually explicit children. At the time of these offenses, Brisee was a registered sex offender on post-release supervision following a New York State conviction for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child.
Sentencing has been scheduled for February 7, 2025. At that time, Brisee faces a minimum of 15 years and up to 40 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000. Brisee will also be required to make restitution to identified victims and be on supervised release for life.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the U.S. Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
