Detectives Investigating Monday Night’s Fatal Shooting Of Alexandria Man

WASHINGTON, DC.- Metropolitan Police Detectives are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Monday night’s fatal shooting of a 29-year-old Alexandria, Virginia, man who was gunned down on T Street in Northeast Washington, D.C.

     According to Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Monday, October 7, 2024, shortly after 7:30 p.m., members of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting with injuries on the 100 Block of T Street in Northeast Washington D.C.

Victim Dies From Injuries

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Tyquan Turner, 29, of Alexandria, Virginia, unresponsive from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by D.C. Fire and EMS personnel, Mr. Turner succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time, as Detectives continue the search for a suspect of suspects.
