Bergen County Authorities Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Hit & Run

LYNDHURST, NJ.- Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Lyndhurst Police Department are continuing the search for the vehicle and the driver who fatally struck a pedestrian and fled the scene last night in Lyndhurst, New Jersey,

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at around 9:50 p.m., members of the Lyndhurst Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle on Ridge Road near the intersection of Milton Avenue in Lyndhurst.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers determined that the vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the area. The pedestrian was tragically pronounced deceased.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available once it is released by authorities.
