Harrison County Man Sentenced To Federal Prison For Drug Crime

CLARKSBURG, W.VA.- On Thursday, October 10, 2024, Todd Eugene Haynes, 49, of Clarksburg, West Virginia, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Thomas S. Kleeh to 120 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release for the Distribution of Methamphetamine.

     According to documents filed with the court, Haynes was initially charged for selling more than 100 grams of methamphetamine throughout the Harrison County, West Virginia area. The sales took place in September 2022, when Hanyes distributed methamphetamine during three controlled buys.

     The U.S. Attorney’s Office reported that Haynes has an extensive criminal history, including convictions for robbery, battery, domestic assault, and stalking, and is currently serving a state prison of 3 years to 45 years in prison.
