Metropolitan Police Searching For Suspects Attempted Robbery & Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- Metropolitan Police Detectives are continuing the search for the suspects wanted in connection with the Friday afternoon attempted robbery and shooting that occurred in Northwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Friday, October 11, 2024, shortly after 12:00 p.m., three suspects approached a male victim in the Unit Block of Banner Lane in Northwest D.C. During the encounter, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and demanded the man’s property and money.
Victim Fights Off Assailants
The male victim began to fight with the suspects. During the fight, the suspect shot the man, grazing him. The suspects then fled the area without obtaining the man’s belongings.
D.C. Metropolitan Police and Fire responded to the scene and launched an investigation. The man was treated at the scene for his non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The suspects were captured by nearby video surveillance cameras and are pictured below.
