Manchester Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Woman In 2022

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Following an investigation, last Monday, October 7, 2024, Michael Trimarchi, 55, of Manchester Township, New Jersey, was taken into custody and charged with Sexual Assault; and Criminal Sexual Contact in connection with allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in August 2022.
According to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, on September 6, 2024, a woman came forward to the Manchester Police Department and reported that she was sexually assaulted by Trimarchi back in 2022. A month-long investigation by Detectives of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was able to determine that on August 10, 2022, Trimarchi committed acts of sexual violence against the woman while sitting in a vehicle.
Accordingly, on October 7, 2024, Detectives of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office executed a court-authorized search warrant on Trimarchi’s residence. During the search, Trimarchi was taken into custody and charged. Following being processed on the charges, Trimarchi was remanded to the Ocean County Jail pending future court proceedings in Ocean County Superior Court in Toms River, New Jersey.
