Detectives Investigating Sunday Afternoon’s Fatal Shooting In Camden

CAMDEN, NJ.- Detectives of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Camden County Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon in the City of Camden, leaving a 25-year-old Camden, New Jersey man dead from gunshot wounds.
According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez, on Sunday, October 13, 2024, shortly after 4:00 p.m., members of the Camden County Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter activation on the 1900 Block of Kossuth Street in the City of Camden.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Nasir Mason, 25, of Camden, suffering from gunshot wounds. Mr. Mason was immediately transported by Police Officers to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
Investigation Remains Ongoing
The investigation remains active and ongoing at this time. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue the search for the gunman.
