Stroudsburg Man Sentenced To Prison For Producing Child Pornography

HARRISBURG, PA.- Yesterday, October 16, 2024, U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam reported that on August 23, 2024, Christopher Horsfield, 50, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and was sentenced by U.S District Court Judge Malachy E. Mannion to 300 months in federal prison, to be followed by ten years of supervised release for producing digital images containing the sexual exploitation of a child.
According to U.S. Attorney Karam and the evidence presented to the court during the sentencing hearing, beginning in November 2022 and lasting through August 2023, Horsfield acquired, created, and distributed child pornography, some of which Horsfield actually created with minor victims.
Horsfield first came onto law enforcement’s radar while they were investigating a report of inappropriate contact between a minor and another individual. Investigators found communications between Horsfield and the individual on the individual’s cell phone that included videos depicting Horsfield engaging in the sexual exploitation of a child.
A subsequent investigation determined that Horsfield possessed 2,125 digital images and 218 video files of child pornography on his cellular phone, which led to Horsfield being taken into custody, convicted, and Horsfield’s August 23, 2024, federal prison sentence.
