Three West Virginia Residents Admit Guilt To Drug Trafficking

ELKINS, W.VA.- On Friday, October 18, 2024, U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, reported that in separate cases, Richard Emery Delphey, 52, of Elkins, West Virginia, Michele Charisse Stewart, 47, of Hillsboro, West Virginia, and Lacrisha Leslie Lamb, 43, of Belington, West Virginia, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and pleaded guilt to illicit narcotics trafficking.
Guilty Of Distribution Of Meth
Delphey, Stewart, and Lamb all appeared on Friday before U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Michael Aloi, and each entered a guilty plea to one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine.
According to documents filed with the court, Delphey, Stewart, and Lamb were each selling and distributing methamphetamine within three counties in the Northern District of West Virginia, Barbour, Randolph, and Pocahontas counties.
After entering their guilty pleas, Judge Aloi accepted the pleas and will schedule sentencing for a date to be determined by the court. When sentenced, Delphey, Stewart, and Lamb face a maximum federal prison term of 20 years, to be followed by at least three years of supervised release.
The Mountain Regional Drug Task Force investigated the cases, which are being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Warner.
