MILLVILLE, NJ.- Detectives of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Millville Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the driver of a 2003 Silver Infinity G35, who fatally struck a 21-year-old Milleville, New Jersey woman late Monday night and then fled the scene.

According to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, just shortly after 1:30 a.m., members of the Millville Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian that had apparently been struck by a motor vehicle on Glenside Road in the City of Millville.

Upon arrival, Police Officers found the body of a woman, later identified as Caroline Bump, 21, of Millville, New Jersey, having succumbed to injuries she sustained from being struck by a vehicle. Ms. Bump was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives Identify Vehicle

During an ensuing investigation, Detectives, after reviewing area surveillance footage, identified a 2003 Infinity G35 as the vehicle bearing the license plate E41RLB that fatally struck Ms. Bump. Detectives further determined that Ms. Bump had been struck on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 11:11 p.m., and her body was not discovered until around two hours later by a passing motorist.

Investigators believe the Infinity sustained substantial damage on the front driver’s side, including the headlight, windshield, and front bumper. Investigators are also interested in speaking with Breanna Rowley, 22, of Vineland, New Jersey, but have not released how she may be connected to the incident.

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the collision or the whereabouts of Ms. Rowley is urged to contact Detective Christopher Johnson of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office at (609) 579-1432.
