Brick Township Man Charged With Child Pornography

BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Following an investigation into online child pornography activities, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, Dennis Hubert, 42, of Brick Township, New Jersey, was taken into custody and jailed after being charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Possession of Child Pornography.
According to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, the investigation began when the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office received a referral from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual in the Ocean County, New Jersey area was sending and receiving digital images depicting child sexual exploitation and abuse.
During the investigation, Detectives of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit were able to identify an IP address associated with Brick Township residence from which the individual was accessing images of child pornography from the Internet. A subsequent tax records check of the property led to Hubert being identified as residing in the home.
Detectives Execute Search Warrant
On Thursday, October 24, 2024, Detectives of the Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and the Brick Township Police Department executed a court-authorized search warrant on Hubert’s residence. During the search, Detectives seized Hubert’s electronic devices and detained Hubert.
Hubert Charged After Discovery Of Child Pornography
A subsequent and preliminary forensic examination of the devices by Detectives uncovered that Hubert used the Internet to view, download, and possess digital images depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of prepubescent and pubescent children.
Accordingly, following the discovery of child pornography, Hubert was arrested and formally charged. After being processed on the charge, Hubert was transported to the Ocean County Jail pending future court proceedings in Ocean County Superior Court.
