Atlantic City Man Pleads Guilty In Convenience Store Stabbing

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ.- On Friday, October 25, 2024, Rashaun Williams, 39, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, appeared in Atlantic County Superior Court and pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Dorothy Incarvito-garrabrant to third-degree Aggravated Assault; and fourth-degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons.
According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, in return for the guilty plea, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office will recommend that Williams be sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison and be banned from having any contact with the victim.
Charges Stem From An Incident
The charges and guilty plea stem from an incident that began on August 13, 2024, when members of the Atlantic City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a stabbing at a convenience store located on Atlantic Avenue in the City.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man who had sustained multiple stab wounds. The man was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of stab wounds to his arm, stomach, and leg.
Police Officers later apprehended Williams, and during his arrest, Police Officers found the pocketknife used in the stabbing in his pocket. Surveillance video from the convenience store captured Williams stabbing the victim.
