Teen Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire Wednesday Night In Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Authorities are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that left a 15-year-old juvenile hospitalized after being struck by gunfire Wednesday night in the City of Paterson.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, shortly after 8:30 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting gunfire in the area of East 37th Street and 11th Avenue in the City of Paterson.
Police Officer Find Teen With Gunshot Wound
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 15-year-old juvenile suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The teen was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. The condition of the teen victim is unknown at this time. During the initial investigation, responded Officers were able to find evidence of a shooting crime scene at the location.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives are continuing the search for the suspect and for the motive for the shooting of the teen.
