Farrell Man Pleads Guilty To Firearms & Drug Trafficking Crimes

PITTSBURGH, PA.- On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Tylon Cousin, 38, of Farrell, Pennsylvania, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge William S. Stickman, IV, to Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine; and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Offense.
During Wednesday’s plea hearing, Judge Stickman accepted and scheduled sentencing for February 26, 2025, at which time Cousin faces a mandatory minimum of five years and up to life in federal prison and a fine of up to $2,250,000. The actual term of incarceration will be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge based on the seriousness of the offenses and Cousin’s past criminal history.
According to documents filed with the court, on February 26, 2024, Cousin possessed and distributed a quantity of cocaine within the Western District of Pennsylvania, during which, at that time, Cousin possessed a firearm.
U.S. Attorney Eric G. Olshan commended the investigative efforts of the Mercer County Drug Task Force, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives for the successful prosecution of Cousin.
