2 Men & 2 Women Charged For The July 10, 2024, Red Bank Shooting Homicide

RED BANK, NJ.- On Friday, November 1, 2024, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago reported that following an investigation, two men and two women have been criminally charged in connection with a July 2024 shooting that claimed the life of a 36-year-old Red Bank, New Jersey man and left another man injured.

     According to the criminal complaints, Lahmeir C. Hill, 31, of Pemberton Borough, New Jersey, and Sadiq Palmer, 25, of Freehold Borough, were each formally charged with one count of first-degree Murder; one count of first-degree Attempted Murder; one count of first-degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder; and multiple second-degree Weapons Offenses.

     Simone K. Moultrie, 53, of Red Bank, New Jersey, was formally charged with one count of first-degree Murder; one count of first-degree Attempted Murder; and one count of third-degree Hindering. Also charged is Ticco K. Griffin, 29, also of Red Bank, New Jersey, with one count of third-degree Hindering.

Investigation Leads To Arrests And Charges

     The charges stem from an investigation that began on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, when, around 3:13 a.m., members of the Red Bank Police Department responded to the 100 Block of River Street on reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, Police Officers found two men, both having sustained gunshot wounds.

     One of the men, identified as Mikal Muhammad, 36, of Red Bank, New Jersey, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other man was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

     An extensive investigation led by Detectives of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics and Criminal Enterprise Unit, and the Red Bank Police Department resulted in the four being charged for their roles in the death of Mr. Muhammad, and the shooting of the other man.
