West Stockbridge Man Pleads Guilty To Sexual Exploitation Of A Child

ALBANY, NY.- On Thursday, October 31, 2024, Frank Twing, Sr., 33, of West Stockbridge, Massachusetts, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Mae A. D’Agostino to one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Child; and one count of Travel with Intent to Engage in Unlawful Sexual Conduct Involving a Minor.
   According to U.S. Attorney Carla B. Freedman, the crimes in this case involved two minor victims, one being the age of fifteen and the other victim being the age of twelve, when Twing perpetrated the crimes against them.
During Thursday’s plea hearing, Twing admitted to the court, that he had engaged in a sexually explicit relationship with a 15-year-old child, during which he created sexually explicit videos of the child. Twing further admitted that he traveled from his West Stockbridge, Massachusetts, home to New York, where he planned on having sex with a 12-year-old child.
After entering his guilty plea, Judge D’Agostino scheduled sentencing for March 6, 2025, at which time Twing faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years and up to 60 years in federal prison, at least five years and up to life of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine, special assessments, and restitution to the victims. Twing will also be required to register as a sex offender in the national database.
