WASHINGTON, DC.- Detectives of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect wanted in the Friday and Sunday morning gunpoint sexual assaults in Northwest D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Friday, November 1, 2024, at around 5:00 a.m., an unknown man approached a female victim who was standing in the 1400 Block of Ogden Street in Northwest D.C. The suspect pulled out a handgun and sexually fondled her before fleeing the area.
Then again, on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at around 5:00 a.m., a suspect matching the description in Friday’s sexual assault approached a victim on the 4500 Block of 15th Street in Northwest D.C. The suspect again pulled out a handgun, but this time forced the victim into an ally, where he sexually assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene.
Detectives believe that the same individual committed both sexual assaults. The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build and approximately 5’8″ to 5’10” in height. The suspect was last seen wearing dark clothing and a ski mask, armed with a handgun.
