Hackensack Man Charged With Luring Child & Criminal Sexual Contact

HACKENSACK, NJ.- Following an investigation, on Saturday, November 2, 2024, Santos Martinez-Martinez, 38, of Hackensack, New Jersey, was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with alleged sex crimes committed on a young teen child.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Friday, November 1, 2024, the Hackensack Police Department contacted Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit after receiving a report regarding the alleged inappropriate sexual contact of a child.
Detectives Uncover Crimes
After interviewing witnesses, including the child victim, Detectives of the Bergen County found evidence that Martinez-Martinez sexually groped a child under the age of fourteen in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Accordingly, on Saturday, November 2, 2024, Detectives of the Bergen County Special Victims Unit and the Hackensack Police Department arrested Martinez-Martinez in Hackensack and formally charged him with second-degree Luring; second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact.
Martinez-Martinez was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
