BURLINGTON, VT.- On Monday, November 4, 2024, Quentin Dingle, 39, of Brooklyn, New York, appeared in U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge William K. Sessions, III to 60 months in federal prison to be followed by three years of supervised release for his previously entered guilty plea to Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute.

According to U.S. Attorney Nicholas P. Kerest and documents filed with the court, local and federal agents learned in the spring of 2023 that Dingle was selling and distributing crack cocaine throughout the Burlington, Vermont area.

Undercover Investigators Purchase Drugs From Dingle

During a subsequent investigation, law enforcement officers conducted five separate controlled buys of illicit narcotics from Dingle over the next several months. Following the controlled buys, law enforcement investigators obtained and, on September 26, 2023, executed court-authorized search warrants on two storage units that Dingle rented and controlled.

During the subsequent searches, investigators uncovered and seized 35.4 grams of fentanyl, 7.7 grams of crack cocaine, 3.5 grams of fentanyl laced with xylazine, 2.58 grams of fluoro-fentanyl, and other evidence consistent with the repackaging and sales of illicit narcotics, and a Berretta .380 handgun. Following the searches, Dingle was taken into custody and charged.
