McKeesport Felon Sentenced To Prison For Possession Of A Firearm

PITTSBURGH, PA.- On Thursday, October 31, 2024, Jared Abraham Ogrosky, 26, of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge Joy Flowers Conti to 33 months in federal prison to be followed by three years of supervised release for his previously entered guilty pleas.
According to U.S. Attorney Eric G. Olshan, on March 12, 2024, Ogrosky appeared in district court and pleaded guilty to Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition as a Prohibited Person, Being a Convicted Felon. Additionally, Ogrosky admitted to violating several conditions of his supervised release following earlier convictions for trafficking in heroin and fentanyl and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense.
Federal law prohibits a person who has previously been convicted of a felony or crimes pertaining to violations of the domestic violence statutes.
