Wilkes-Barre Man Indicted For Receiving & Possession Pornography

SCRANTON, PA.- On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, a Federal Grand Jury for the Middle District of Pennsylvania returned an indictment against Roland Bennett Rhodes, III, 54, of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on the charges of Receipt of Child Pornography; and Possession of Child Pornography.
According to U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam and information unsealed in the indictment charging Rhodes with allegedly possessing and receiving digital images of nude and sexually explicit prepubescent children and engaging in sexually explicit conduct on October 24, 2024, in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
The indictment was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the U.S. Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
