Detectives Make Arrest In Quadruple Shooting That Left 2 Dead & 2 Injured

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Thursday, November 7, 2024, a 25-year-old Southeast, D.C. man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with the July 18, 2024, mid-day quadruple shooting in Southeast, D.C., that claimed that left two men dead and two hospitalized.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Thursday, members of the Capitol Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Andre Greene, 25, of Southeast, D.C. Greene was wanted on a D.C. Superior Court warrant after being charged with first-degree Murder While Armed.
Police Officers Find Four Victims Shot
The arrest and charge stem from an investigation that began on Thursday, July 18, 2024, when shortly before 11:30 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 2200 Block of Alabama Avenue in Southeast, D.C. Upon arrival, Police Officers found four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Two of the victims, Lamont Street, 29, of Capitol Heights, Maryland, and Jermaine Proctor, 50, of Southeast, D.C., had succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased by DC Fire and Emergency Services.
The two other victims, an adult male, and a juvenile girl were transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and subsequently released.
During the ensuing investigation, Detectives revealed that multiple suspects jumped out of a motor vehicle and began shooting at the adult male victim. Detectives were able to later identify Greene as one of the shooters. Which led to charges being filed and Greene’s apprehension yesterday.
