Friday Night Shooting In Passaic Leaves 3 People, Including Teen Hospitalized

PASSAIC, NJ.- Passaic County authorities are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding a Friday night triple shooting that left two senior citizens and a 13-year-old child hospitalized after they were struck by gunfire Friday night in the City of Passaic.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Friday, November 8, 2024, just shortly before 7:30 p.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Aspen Place and Columbia Avenue in the City of Passaic.
Police Find Shooting Victims, Including Child
Upon arrival, police found a 13-year-old child, a 71-year-old woman, and a 90-year-old man, all from Passaic, New Jersey, suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The victims were immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson and St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic for treatment. The condition of the three people is unknown at this time. During the initial investigation, responding Police Officers were able to locate evidence of a shooting crime scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue the search for the suspect and a motive for the shooting.
