Detectives Continuing The Investigation Into Thursday’s Shooting Death

WASHINGTON, DC.- A 31-year-old man became the latest victim of gun violence in the nation’s capitol after he was gunned down Thursday morning in Northeast, D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, just shortly after 6:15 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024, members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an unresponsive man on the 1500 Block of Benning Road in Northeast, D.C.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers and DC Fire and Emergency Services found a man, later identified as Dashane Judd, 31, with no known address, having succumbed from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Service pronounced Mr. Judd deceased at the scene.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of Mr. Judd.
