Police Searching For Gunman In Sunday Afternoon Shooting In Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Detectives of the Paterson Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Unit are continuing the search for the gunman who opened fire Sunday afternoon in the City of Paterson, leaving a Paterson, New Jersey man hospitalized.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, On Sunday, November 17, 2024, shortly before 5:00 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area of 10th Street and Belmont Avenue in the City of Paterson.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 35-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man having sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. Responding Police Officers found evidence of a crime scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as authorities as authorities continue the search for the shooter.
