Man Fatally Stabbed Saturday Night In Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC.- A 31-year-old Northwest, D.C. man tragically became another victim to fall prey to the senseless violence plaguing the nation’s capitol after he was stabbed to death Saturday night on a Northwest, D.C. street.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Saturday, November 16, 2024, just minutes after 6:30 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a stabbing on the 4000 Block of Kanas Avenue in Northwest, D.C.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Vance Contee, 31, of Northwest, D.C., unresponsive from multiple stab wounds.

     Mr. Contee was immediately transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital, where, despite life-saving measures, Mr. Contee succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made, and Detectives are continuing to search for the assailant.
