Butler County Man Sentenced For Sexually Exploiting Infant & Child

CINCINNATI, OH.- Last Friday, a 63-year-old Ohio man was sentenced to prison for horrifically sexually abusing and filming the abuse he committed on an infant and a 5-year-old, then sharing digital images of his abuse on a messaging application.
According to U.S. Attorney Kenneth L. Parker, on Friday, November 15, 2024, David John Frahm, 63, of Trenton, Ohio, appeared in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Court Judge Michael R. Barrett to 300 months in federal prison, to be followed by a lifetime of supervised release, for his previously entered guilty pleas to Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
According to the charging information unsealed in an indictment, Frahm committed a hands-on offense against an infant victim and a 5-year-old victim and then shared digital images of the sexual abuse over an encrypted instant messaging application. Frahm utilized the messaging application to gain access to chat rooms where people discussed child sexual abuse and shared digital images and video files of child pornography. In March and April 2023, Frahm shared three digital images of the sexual abuse he committed on the infant and 5-year-old with an undercover investigator who was monitoring the messaging application.
After receiving the images, Federal Agents located and arrested Frahm in April 2023, where he has remained in custody. In May 2024, Frahm appeared in U.S. District Court and pleaded guilty to two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
The investigation and case were brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the U.S. Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
