MOUNT HOLLY, NJ.- On Friday, November 22, 2024, Henry Papaleo, 58, of Gloucester City, New Jersey, appeared in Burlington County Superior Court and pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Aimee R. Belgard to two counts of second-degree Sexual Assault of a Child Less than 13 Years of Age.

During his plea allocation on Friday, Papaleo admitted that he sexually assaulted the two children four years ago. Following entering his guilty plea, Judge Belgard scheduled sentencing for April 4, 2025, in Burlington County Superior Court in Mount Holly, New Jersey.

According to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw, in return for the guilty plea, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office will recommend that Papaleo be sentenced to 17 years in New Jersey State Prison, to be followed by parole supervision for life. Papaleo would also be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law requirements.

The guilty plea stems from an investigation that began last year when the child victims informed their parents about the assaults. Their parents then notified authorities.
