According To The U.S. Attorney’s Office
According to U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves and D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, during the evening hours of March 11, 2024, Edwards drove a car through a stop sign and struck the male victim’s vehicle at the intersection of 48th Place and Lee Street in Northeast, D.C., as the victim was returning home from work.
After striking the man’s car, Edwards and his co-conspirators jumped out of their car. Edwards then pulled a handgun on the man, causing him to flee from his driver’s side door. Edwards’ co-conspirators jumped into the man’s vehicle and drove away, and Edwards chased after the victim on foot and held him down, allowing his co-conspirators to escape with the man’s car.
