Saturday, November 30, 2024, 3:45 P.M. ET. 2 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

BOSTON, MA.- A 29-year-old Lynn, Massachusetts, man who was on probation for armed robbery at the time he sold methamphetamine and fentanyl to an undercover officer, not once, not twice, but four times, learned on Monday that he will be facing a couple of decades in federal prison after admitting guilt to multiple counts of federal drug crimes.

On Monday, November 25, 2024, Ricardo Bratini-Perez, also known as “Ricofromthesin,” 29, of Lynn, appeared in U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Leo T. Sorokin to an indictment charging Bratini-Perez with four counts of Distribution and Possession with Intent Distribute Fentanyl and Methamphetamine; and one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute 400 Grams or More of a Mixture and Substance Containing Fentanyl.

During Monday’s plea allocation, Judge Sorokin accepted his plea and scheduled sentencing for March 17, 2025. On each of the counts, Bratini-Perez faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to life in federal prison, five years and up to life of supervised release, and a $10 million fine.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Joshua S. Levy, and charging information unsealed in the indictment and filed with the court. Bratini-Perez was on probation following being released from Massachusetts State Prison for an armed robbery and a firearm conviction. While on probation, Bratini-Perez sold fentanyl and methamphetamine to an undercover officer on three occasions in March 2024 and April 2024. On April 8, 2024, Bratini-Perez was taken into custody following a fourth sale to the undercover officer.

After his arrest, law enforcement officers obtained and executed a court-authorized search warrant at Bratini-Perez’s Lynn, Massachusetts residence, where officers uncovered and seized over 5,000 grams of counterfeit pills containing fentanyl.
