Two Men Struck By Gunfire Friday Night In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting after gunfire erupted Friday night in the City of Paterson, leaving two Paterson, New Jersey, men hospitalized and becoming the third and fourth victims of Holiday weekend gun violence throughout the city.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Friday, November 29, 2024, shortly before 7:00 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area of East 31st Street and 14th Avenue in the City of Paterson.
Upon arrival, Police Officers learned from witnesses that two victims, a 19-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, man and a 20-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man, were transported by car to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center after they were struck by gunfire at that location. The medical condition of the two men is unknown at this time.
During the initial investigation, responding Police Officers found evidence of a shooting crime scene at the location.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue to search for a suspect.
