Scranton Man & Milford Man Indicted For Online Child Enticement Offenses

SCRANTON, PA.- Late last month, a Federal Grand Jury for the Middle District of Pennsylvania returned an indictment against a 39-year-old Scranton, Pennsylvania man and a 28-year-old Milford, Pennsylvania man on multiple counts of child sexual exploitation charges related to the production of child pornography.
The Grand Jury has charged Kevin Eric Abbott, 39, of Scranton, and Rashaad Che Taylor, 28, of Milford, each with Conspiracy to Produce Child Pornography; Online Child Enticement; Production of Child Pornography; Distribution of Child Pornography; Possession of Child Pornography, and Taylor was additionally charged with the Commission of a Felony Offense by a Registered Sex Offender.
According to U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam, and the charging information unsealed in the indictment alleges that Taylor and Abbott met and then conspired over at least a year and a half to entice children online to produce child pornography and send it to them. Both men engaged in the enticement and attempted enticement of children online.
Abbott is alleged to have distributed child pornography on numerous occasions. Additionally, both men were in possession of digital images and video files depicting prepubescent children engaged in horrific illicit sexual conduct with adults when law enforcement investigators raided their homes.
Taylor is further alleged to have committed these child sex crimes while being a registered sex offender for his prior 2016 felony convictions.
