Ridgefield Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Young Teen

RIDGEFIELD, NJ.- Yesterday, a 23-year-old Ridgefield, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged for allegedly sexually assaulting a young teen.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, On Monday, November 25, 2024, members of the Ridgefield Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit after the Police Department received a report regarding the alleged sexual assault of a minor that had occurred in the past.
An investigation by Detectives of the Bergen County Special Victims Unit and the Ridgefield Police Department and after interviewing witnesses, including the victim, Detectives determined that Seeun Jang, 23, of Ridgefield, New Jersey, sexually assaulted the minor on multiple occasions when the child was under the age of sixteen in Ridgefield, New Jersey.
Accordingly, on Monday, December 2, 2024, Jang was taken into custody in Ridgefield and was formally charged with two counts of second-degree Sexual Assault; and third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Jang was processed on the charges and remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
