Detectives Continuing The Investigation Into The Death Of 7-Month-Old Infant

WAYNE, NJ.- Detectives of the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wayne Police Department are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 7-month-old infant that occurred early yesterday afternoon at a Wayne, New Jersey hotel.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, shortly after 1:30 p.m., members of the Wayne Township Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a deceased infant at the Days Inn located at Route 23 and Ratzer Road in the Township.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found the lifeless body of a 7-month-old infant and an apparent crime scene at the hotel. The infant was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as to the cause and manner of the infant’s death remain under active investigation.
