ALBANY, NY.- On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, Kamaro Campbell, 42, of Albany, New York, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Anne M.      Campbell had previously pleaded guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine; Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl; and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime.

During Wednesday’s sentencing hearing, in addition to the term of imprisonment, Judge Nardacci sentenced Campbell to an additional five years of supervised release and ordered him to forfeit the handgun seized in his apartment.

According to U.S. Attorney Carla B. Freedman, on June 28, 2023, following an investigation into Campbell’s illicit narcotics distribution activities in the Albany, New York, area, federal agents obtained and executed court-authorized search warrants at Campbell’s residence and a storage unit that he controlled.

During the search, agents uncovered and seized 105 grams of fentanyl, 95 grams of cocaine, a fanny pack containing a loaded handgun, and $15,000 in U.S. currency in denominations consistent with narcotics sales. A separate search of the storage unit led to the discovery of an additional 105 grams of cocaine.

During his plea allocution, Campbell admitted in court to also selling an additional 155 grams of cocaine and 74 grams of methamphetamine.
