PITTSBURGH, PA.- On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, a Federal Grand Jury for the Western District of Pennsylvania returned a three-count indictment against a 19-year-old Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, man in connection with the alleged enticement of a child to engage in sexually explicit conduct.

The indictment charges Ja’re Glavney-Owens, 19, of Turtle Creek, with Enticement or Coercion of a Minor to Engage in Sexually Explicit Conduct; Production of Child Pornography; and Possession and Transportation of Child Pornography.

According To The U.S. Attorney’s Office

According to U.S. Attorney Eric G. Olshan and charging information unsealed in the indictment, it is alleged that in November 2024, Glaveny-Owens attempted to and did use, persuade, induce, entice, and coerce a child to engage in sexually explicit conduct to produce digital images and video files of child pornography.

The indictment further alleges that during that time, Glavney-Owens possessed digital images and video files of child pornography and transported and attempted to transport child pornography.

If convicted at trial on the charges unsealed in the indictment, Glaveny-Owens faces a maximum of 30 years in federal prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a $1 million fine, or both. The actual term of imprisonment would be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge based on the seriousness of the offenses and Glaveny-Owens’ prior criminal history, if any.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
