Boston Man Pleads Guilty To Sexual Exploitation & Trafficking A Child

BOSTON, MA.- A 26-year-old Boston, Massachusetts man is facing spending the rest of his life in federal prison after he pleaded guilty on Thursday in Federal Court to child sexual exploitation and trafficking charges.
On Thursday, December 12, 2024, Jalen Latimer, 26, of Roxbury, Massachusetts, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Margaret R. Guzman to one count of Conspiracy to Commit Child Sex Trafficking; and two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
Judge Schedules Sentencing
After entering his guilty plea on Thursday, Judge Guzman accepted the guilty plea and scheduled sentencing for March 18, 2025, at which time Latimer faces a mandatory minimum of fifteen years and up to 30 years on each of the two counts of sexual exploitation of a child and up to a lifetime of supervised release and a $250,000 fine. On the charge of conspiracy to commit child sex trafficking, Latimer faces up to life in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
   A U.S. District Court Judge will determine the actual term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offenses and Latimer’s prior criminal history.
Latimer Remains In State Custody
Latimer is currently in state custody on related charges. He was previously federally charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor on February 16, 2024.
According to U.S. Attorney Joshua S. Levy and charging information filed in the complaints, in July 2023, Latimer conspired with another individual to sex traffic a child victim. In July 2022, Latimer used two other child victims to engage in sexually explicit conduct to produce child pornography.
In February 2024, Latimer was taken into custody and is facing Massachusetts state charges in Worcester Superior Court of Rape of a Child; Aggravated Indecent Assault and Battery of a Child; Human Trafficking of a Minor; and Depicting a Minor in Sexual Conduct.
