Madison Police Report 3 Dead, Including Juvenile Suspect, & 6 Injured In Christian School Shooting

MADISON, WI.- Police Officials in Madison, Wisconsin, are reporting that they responded to an active shooting at the Abundant of Life Christian School on Monday that has left 3 dead, including the shooter, and 6 injured. 

     According to Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes, at 10:57 a.m. central time, members of the Madison Police Department responded to an active shooting at the school. Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered three individuals deceased from gunshot wounds, including the juvenile shooter from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The shooter has been identified as a teenage student at the school. Chief Barnes has reported that the other two deceased individuals were a teacher and a teenage student.

     Police Officers located an additional six individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. All six were transported to area hospitals, having sustained minor to life-threatening injuries, where two are listed in critical condition, and the other four remain in stable condition. The six have been reported as students at the school. 

     The Abundant of Life Christian School has a 2024 student enrollment of 390, ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
