Woman Charged For Killing Her Mother Monday Afternoon Inside Their Home

WILLINGBORO, NJ.- An apparent Monday afternoon domestic dispute turned deadly, resulting in a 57-year-old Willingboro Township, New Jersey woman being killed and her 32-year-old daughter being charged with her murder.
According to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw, Breanna Beacham, who was temporarily staying with her mother at the Hopewell Lane residence in the Hawthorne Park neighborhood of Willingboro Township, was charged Monday evening with first-degree Murder; third-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and fourth-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
Beacham was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Burlington County Jail pending future court proceedings in Burlington County Superior Court in Mount Holly, New Jersey. The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion to detain Beacham pending trial.
Police Find Mother’s Body
The charges stem from an investigation that unfolded on Monday, December 16, 2024, when shortly before 4:00 p.m., members of the Willingboro Township Police Department responded to the Hopewell Lane residence after receiving a report of an active assault. Upon arrival, Police Officers found the body of Kim Beacham-Hanson, 57, inside the home.
The preliminary investigation determined that Ms. Beacham-Hanson had been bludgeoned to death. Further investigation revealed that Beacham was responsible for the death of her mother and was taken into custody at the residence. An autopsy performed by the Burlington County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the Cause of Death to be Multiple Blunt Force injuries and the Manner of Death Homicide.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. The motive for the attack remains unknown at this time.
