GREENWICH, NJ. On Thursday, following an investigation by the Warren County Prosecutors Office and the Greenwich Township Police Department, Tyler S. Roller, 30, of Somerset, New Jersey, a Police Officer with the Greenwich Township Police Department, was taken into custody and charged with entering false entries into the Department’s Records Management System.

Roller was formally charged on Thursday, December 19, 2024, with fourth-degree Falsifying or Tampering with Records; and Tampering with Public Records, a Disorderly Persons Offense.

Prosecutor’s Office Launches Investigation

In August 2024, the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office received information from the Greenwich Township Police Department that false entries were made into the Department’s Records Management System. The Office launched an investigation into the allegations.

After reviewing entries into the Department’s Records Management System and all relevant police reports pertaining to incidents and investigations, Detectives determined that Patrolman Tyler S. Roller allegedly falsified public records and made false entries into the Department’s system, charging two individuals for incidents they were not involved in.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
