Two Wildwood Brothers Charged With Raping Two Children

WILDWOOD, NJ.- Following an investigation, on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, Arisandro Estrada-Tapia, 18, and Israel Estrada-Tapia, 20, both of the 400 West Block of Baker Avenue in Wildwood, New Jersey, were taken into custody and jailed following being charged in connection with the alleged sexual assaults of two children.
According to Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland, Arisandro Estrada-Tapia was formally charged with two counts of second-degree Sexual Assault; and one count of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Israel Estrada-Tapia was formally charged with one count of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; two counts of second-degree Sexual Assault; and two counts of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Both men were processed on the charges and were remanded to the Cape May County Correctional Center pending future court proceedings in Cape May County Superior Court.
The charges stem from an investigation that began in the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 24, 2024, after the Wildwood City Police Department contacted the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding allegations that two minor children had been sexually assaulted by the Estrada-Tapia brothers.
Investigation Uncovers Alleged Sexual Assaults
Following a swift-moving investigation by members of the Cape County Special Victims Unit and the Wildwood City Police Department, Detectives found probable cause to believe that crimes had been committed and arrested the Estrada-Tapia brothers.
If convicted of the charges, Israel Estrada-Tapia faces up to twenty years in New Jersey State Prison, and Arisandro Estrada-Tapia faces up to ten years in New Jersey State Prison. Both men would also be subject to parole supervision for life and would be required to register as sex offenders under Megan’s Law registration requirements.
