Asbury Park Man Charged In Connection With Deal House Fire

DEAL, NJ.- Today, December 30, 2024, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago reported, that a 20-year-old Asbury Park, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with setting a house on fire this morning in Deal, New Jersey.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Nasyr-Alatre D. Fisher, 20, of Asbury Park, was formally charged with one count of second-degree Burglary; one count of third-degree Arson, and multiple other criminal charges, including six counts of fourth-degree Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.

Charges Are The Result Of The Investigation
The charges stem from an investigation that began on Monday, December 30, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m., when multiple local Monmouth County Fire Departments responded to multiple reports of a house fire on Lady Bliss Drive in Deal, New Jersey. Upon arrival, Firefighters and Police Officers found the house fully engulfed in flames. Shortly after the fire was discovered, Fisher was found by Patrol Officers from the Deal Police Department a short distance away.
A subsequent investigation by members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Deal Police Department quickly determined that Fisher broke into the home and ignited the fire that completely destroyed the house.
Following being taken into custody, Fisher was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending future court proceedings in Monmouth County Superior Court in Freehold, New Jersey.
