2 Men & 2 Teen Girls Charged For Assaulting Teen Girl At Harrison Hotel

HARRISON, NJ.- Following an investigation, two Newark, New Jersey, men and two Newark, New Jersey, teen girls were taken into custody and charged in connection with allegedly holding a 13-year-old girl inside a Harrison, New Jersey, hotel room, physically assaulting and attempting to sexually assault the child at gunpoint.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, during the morning hours of Sunday, December 29, 2024, the Newark Police Department was notified that a teen girl was being being held against her will and had been assaulted inside a room at a hotel located on Passaic Avenue in the City of Harrison.
Upon arrival, Police Officers from the Newark Police Department and the Harrison Police Department located a 13-year-old girl who reported to Police Officers that she was locked in a room by several acquaintances and physically assaulted. The teen girl further reported that the group attempted to sexually assault her and that there were handguns present inside the hotel room.
Police obtained and executed a court-authorized search of the hotel room, and during the search, Police found two handguns and hollow-point ammunition were located and seized.
A subsequent investigation by Detectives of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Harrison Police Department, with assistance from the Newark Police Department, led to the arrests and charges being filed against the following individuals:
Charges Filed Against Four
A 15-year-old Newark, New Jersey, girl was charged as a juvenile with Kidnapping, Simple Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Conspiracy to Kidnap, two counts of Attempted Sexual Assault, Possession of Hollow-Point Ammunition, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
A second 15-year-old Newark, New Jersey girl was charged as a juvenile with Kidnapping, Conspiracy to Kidnap, Simple Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Aggravated Assault, two counts of Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Attempted Sexual Assault, and Possession of Hollow-Point Ammunition.
Two 18-year-old Newark, New Jersey men, Tavin McCullough and Kyle Green, were each individually charged with Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Possession of Hollow-Point Ammunition.
All four were processed on the charges pending future court proceedings in Hudson County Superior Court’s Criminal and Family Division. Their custody statuses were not reported.
